Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my country. I get very patriotic and emotional when I hear the star spangled banner, the national anthem, the Olympics, learning about WWII, or reading articles on the sacrifices our troops have to make. Screw it, I get emotional over the thought of soldiers fighting for our country. I can also be a bit of a so-called typical cocky American when I talk to my cousins from Canada. I am always like “your just mad cause your not american. you were so close but you missed” lolz

But anyways this is besides the point.

Something happened and it kinda hit me that the Western mentality is mostly looks over substance. How small your waist is, how big your boobs and your ass is, how smooth your skin is, if you are are good in bed, etc. is what you are looking for when you are searching for someone.

Whiles Eastern mentality for the most part is substance over looks. (I know there is the argument of the whole ‘Fair and Lovely’ thing but it is a well known fact that guys don’t date/marry girls for their skin color anymore. Fair and Lovely is an attempt at maintaining ancient old views of ‘you can only be pretty if you are light skinned’ which is bogus and completely untrue).

With an Eastern mentality, when looking for someone, it is about if they can be a good wife/husband to you and a great mother/father to your future children. It’s not about looking for a hot body.

He is so cool in How I Met Your Mother and his character in Beastly is awesome. watching Beastly(on show time) for the millionth time. I love this movie even though it is so corny =P
